General anesthesia dentistry involves administering anesthesia to induce a state of unconsciousness, allowing patients to undergo dental procedures without experiencing pain or discomfort. This approach is particularly beneficial for pediatric patients and special needs teenagers who may have difficulty tolerating dental treatments due to anxiety, sensory sensitivities, or other medical conditions.

**Please note that we cannot provide sedation for special needs or developmentally disabled patients. This population is generally advised to seek dental treatment in the hospital setting.

Dr. Steve is an experienced dentist within the pediatric dental office and hospital settings. He is trained and certified in IV sedation, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Paul is the President and CEO of Next Level Anesthesia and an executive board member of the Michigan Association of Nurse Anesthetists. He’s experienced delivering anesthesia to patients in diverse settings, including hospitals, endoscopy centers, dental offices, and surgery centers.
